You DID HELP us help you! - results of the first big Prezi Community survey

Dear Community,

a couple of weeks ago we asked you to fill out a survey so we can learn more about your habits and your motivation to visit this forum. 140 of you took the time and filled it out which is incredible, thank you! :love_letter:

What became clear that most of you come here via our homepage or through Google search because you encountered an issue while creating a presentation and you’d like to troubleshoot it. Or you needed a certain functionality but weren’t sure if it exists or how it works. Good news is that you are in the perfect place to do just that!

Many of you want to learn new design tricks so you can level up your presentation game - you’re also where you’re supposed to be! Those of you who haven’t encountered the design tips of Lajos, the alpaca before, here is the perfect opportunity to start discovering:

Based on the feedback you provided, we’ll try to cover more and more topics that interest you in the world of presentations.

Many of you also took the time to not only answer the multiple choice questions but shared your more detailed feedback - you know who you are. You’re awesome!

We’d like to take this opportunity to address the most common issues and requests:

  1. It is clear that you would like to know what is happening in the labs of Prezi. Moreover, you actively contribute with sharing ideas - and you want them implemented preferably yesterday. We get it! Especially, because we agree that the requests you share on the forum are great and would help to make Prezi an even cooler product. But what is important to know that we can’t disclose our roadmap - especially, because we don’t like making promises we can’t keep. That being said, we also understand you would like to have more clarity on what we’re working on. We can promise that we will sync on this with our Product Team and will try to work out a better system to keep you in the know.

  2. You also would like to see more video tutorials and design tips - which is amazing, because so do we! We’re already experimenting with this in the Tips and Tricks category but we know that we could also do better. This is definitely something we intend on working towards to.

  3. You also requested an FAQ section on the forum. While we understand its value, we also believe that the current search engine of our platform is extremely good. That being said, if you think an FAQ section would make your lives easier, this is something that we’re happy to set up.

  4. Last but not least: you’d like to get help fast. And you’re frustrated because you think you can only get support if you pay. Please note that this is not the case! Members of our support team monitor this community forum multiple times a day so we can assist you when it’s needed the most. We’re also happy to answer on our social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn, Quora - you name it) - just reach out and let us know what you need. We believe that everyone should get the help in a tense situation while preparing for a presentation so don’t hesitate to ask your questions.

Again, thanks for taking the time and sharing your feedback with us! :tada:
